Over the course of the past year and a half we have secured 87 permits, 15 waivers (maybe not that many!), and grey hair to finally be allowed to build! In lieu of celebrating with a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, the first crew members decided it would be fitting to celebrate with a hoop jumping ceremony instead. We are super excited to announce that we have finally started construction on our new brewing facility!
As you all know, the Camp Fire that raged through Paradise and the surrounding communities was the most destructive wildfire in our state’s history. The tremendous amount of damage that it caused is hard to fathom.
Although Farmers Brewing Company was not directly affected by the destruction of the Camp Fire, we want to do our part to help our neighboring community. We partnered with Sierra Nevada, along with many other breweries across the United States to participate in a nation-wide fundraiser to support the impacted communities. Sierra Nevada created a recipe for a beer called Resilience IPA and on Giving Tuesday, November 27th, Farmers brewed a batch of our version of this beer. Once ready, we will be filling and selling Resilience IPA in our growlers, donating 100% of the sales to the Camp Fire relief efforts. We anticipate this beer will be ready for pick up mid-December. Check our website and our Facebook page for updates on this fundraiser!
In addition to brewing Resilience IPA, Farmers Brewing Company will also brew a batch of 530 and donate 100% of the proceeds towards the Camp Fire relief efforts. 530 Strong will be distributed in a handful of Butte County restaurants and bars in the upcoming weeks.
Lets support the re-build efforts with 530 Strong!
